Women Leadership and Development Grants

The Australian Government are offering grants (minimum $1 million) to eligible organisations to support projects that aim to increase gender equality, extend leadership and economic participation opportunities for women, and build a safer more respectful culture in workplaces.

Priority will be given to projects with strong connections to their community and partnerships with specialist organisations.

Projects that target women living in regional, rural and remote areas; Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women; older women; women with disability and women from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds are encouraged.

Projects should be delivered on a national scale, or be scalable to have a national impact and/or reach.

Eligible applicants must be one of the following entity types:

  • Indigenous Corporation

  • Company

  • Co-operative

  • Incorporated Association

  • Statutory Entity

  • Corporate STate or Territory Entity (Universities only)

Applicants from consortia are encouraged.

Applicants must also:

  • have an Australian Business Number (ABN)

  • be registered for GST

  • be a permanent resident of Australia

Applications close at 9PM (ACT local time) on 21 April 2022.
