$20,000 grants for WA innovators

The WA State Government are offering grants up to $20,000 to successful WA based start-ups and small businesses to help them commercialise their innovative ideas or projects.

The Innovation Booster Grant Program - formerly the Innovation Voucher Program - will support successful applicants to access professional skills, services or knowledge, and enable them to advance an innovative idea, project or commercial activity in Western Australia.

Eligible expenditure categories include:

• Research and Development

• Product Development

• Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property

• Commercialisation Support Services

The Innovation Booster Grant is designed to help successful applicants to:

• develop new or enhanced, commercially-ready products or services

• establish a minimum viable product (MVP), prototype, process or system that might attract additional investment or customers,

• address a technical problem that cannot be solved by the applicant, or for which a solution is not readily available

Successful grantees will need to provide a cash co-contribution of at least 20% of the total project budget cost (20:80 applicant to state government funding).

Applications must be submitted by 11AM on 20 April 2022.
