Grant funding up to $50 million to establish a BioMedTech incubator

The BioMedTech Incubator grant program will provide the successful applicant up to $50 million to establish a research incubator to identify and select Australian SME’s undertaking early-stage medical research projects with commercial potential.

The successful organisation will partner with SME’s to progress and support medical research and medical innovation projects by:

  • providing access to capital and industry knowledge

  • faclitate an environment where research projects are incubated

  • provide up to $5 million in funding for an SME over 5 years to develop a research proejct

Eligible applicants will:

  • have an Australian Business Number (ABN)

  • be incorporated in Australia

  • be one of the following entities:

    • a medical research institute

    • a university

    • a corporate Commonwealth entity

    • a corporation - including businesses and not for profits

Applications close on 25 August 2022 (5PM AEST).
