WA Small Business Hardship Grants

West Australian SME’s can apply for up to $50,000 in hardship relief payments if they can demonstrate they have experienced a decrease in turnover for a consecutive two week period between 1 January and 30 April 2022, compared the same period in 2021.

Two tiers of grant payments are available:

  1. Businesses that experience a decline in business turnover of 40% an apply for up to $50,000 depending on the number of people employed.

  2. Businesses that experience a decline in business turnover of 30% or more can apply for up to $37,500 depending on the number of people employed.

To be eligible business must:

  • Verify their identity using MyGovID (click here to link your business to MyGovID)

  • Hold an active ABN for the period covered in the application

  • Be currently trading in Western Australia and:

    • have an annual turnover of more than $50,000, excluding GST

    • have an Australia-wide annual payroll of less than $4 million

  • Demonstrate a reduction in turnover for a consecutive two-week period between 1 January and 30 April 2022, compare town equivalent period in the previous year (level of reduction in rutnover will determine grant tier)

  • Provide evidence of the number of FTE or equivalent employees of their business

  • Provide an unreacted PDF copy of their business bank statement showing 2022 transactions, a bSB, an account number and the business name associated with the application
