Renewable Hydrogen Grant Funding - up to $5 million

The Renewable Hydrogen Fund (Round 2) aims to support capital works projects and feasibility studies across Western Australia which address one of the four strategic focus areas, which are:

  • Export

  • Remote applications

  • Hydrogen blending in natural gas networks

  • Transport

The program offers grants of:

  • up to $300,000 for feasibility studies to support investment decisions for a proposed project

  • up to $5 million for capital works projects to support building of pilot/demonstrations and/or early commercialisation of capital works projects, which may also include an R&D component

Eligible applicants must demonstrate a minimum cash contribution of 25% of the total proposed project cost, have an ABN or an Australian Registered business Number at the time of application and be one of:

  • for profit, registered company operating in Australia

  • a local government

  • a NFP that is a legal entity

  • an industry association, cooperative, or partnership

  • an incorporated body or have equivalent status/auspicing

  • a university or training institution

  • a WA government agency

  • an Australia incorporated entity

  • a Government Trading Enterprise
