ARENA announces $71.9 Future Fuels Fund

The first round of the Future Fuels Fund will deliver $16.5 million in grant funding to support the rollout of networks of fast charging stations across Australia including each capital city, and various large regional centres.

The program is aimed at helping businesses and regional communities take advantage of opportunities offered by new vehicle technologies across battery electric, hydrogen fuel cell and biofuels.

Grants up to $2.5 million will be offered (based on geographic location) on a cash and/or in-kind co-contribution basis, which can include contribution from local governments or councils.

Support from state and territory governments is encouraged but cannot be used to reduce the applicant co-contibrution.

Applications close on Tuesday 6 April 2021.
