Grants up to $675,000 for digital disruption
The Federal Government are offering grants to successful eligible Australian start-ups and SME’s to submit innovative digital solutions to improve occupational licensing and information sharing, and uptake of the automatic mutual recognition of occupational registrations (AMR) scheme.
The AMR makes it easier for workers needing to be licenced or registered for their job to work elsewhere in Australia, and moves the need for a worker to pay and apply for a new licence or registration when working in another state or territory. AMR also enables regulators to continue compliance activity efficiently and effectively.
Grants of up to $70,000 will be offered for feasibility studies up to 3 months duration. If the study demonstrates feasibility then you can apply for up to $675,000 to develop a Proof of Concept projects for a maximum 12 month period.
The AMR scheme challenges for this round of Business Research and Innovation Initiative (BRII) include:
Challenge 1: Improving information matching and exchange between jurisdictions
Challenge 2: Improving information matching and exchange for building and construction
Challenge 3: improving information matching and exchange for security, property, transport and liquor and gaming industries
Challenge 4: Improving uptake of the opportunities available through the AMR scheme
