Grants up to $3 million for industry led collaborative projects

The CRC-Projects grant program offers grants from $100,000 and up to $3 million on a 50:50 co-contribution basis for short-term (up to 3 years) research collaborations.

Round 12 of the CRC-P is open to applicants from all industry sectors, however there is a focus on supporting projects which align with the National Manufacturing Priorities which include:

  • Space

  • Medical Products

  • Resources Technology and Minerals Processing

  • Food and Beverage

  • Defence

  • Recycling and Clean Energy

Projects must include two Australian industry organisations, one of which must be an SME, and one Australian research organisation. Eligible lead applicants must also:

  • have an Australian business number (ABN)

  • be incorporated in Australia

  • be a trading corporation

Project must:

  • develop a product, service or process that will solve problems for industry and deliver real outcomes

  • benefit SME’s

  • include education and training activities

Grant funding can be used for direct project related costs including:

  • new research

  • Proof of Concept activiites

  • pre-commercialisation of research outcomes

  • industry-focussed education and training activities

  • conferences, workshops, symposia related to the joint research

  • information sharing and communications related to the research
