Grant funding up to $5 million to develop multi-purpose urban precincts

The urban Precincts and Partnerships Program Stream One (uPPP) is inviting eligible applicants to apply for between $500,000 and $5 million, and up to 100% of eligible expenditure, to develop a precinct idea through to investment-ready stage.

Eligible entities include:

  • Australian local, state and territory government agencies or bodies

  • Incorporated not-for-profit organisations

  • Urban universities

Aiming to activate partnerships to design and delivery urban precincts that transform cities and suburbs, Stream one is seeking applications to fund an entire precinct plan, even if only one element of the precinct is being considered for future investment.

The objective of the program is to activate partnerships to jointly deliver plans, designs or business cases for multi-purpose precincts comprised of multiple infrastructure components.

Eligible projects must be completed by 31 March 2027 and will be located in any one of the greater areas of Australia’s capital cities, and across any part of the Australian Capital Territory.

Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until funding is fully allocated.
