Government grants up to $500,000 for manufacturing in the NT

The Advanced Manufacturing Ecosystem (AME) Fund is offering grants up to $500,000 on a 50:50 co-contribution basis to support industry led advanced manufacturing projects in the Northern Territory.

The purpose of these grants is to:

  • build the advanced manufacturing ecosystem in the Northern Territory

  • grow advanced manufacturing capabilities in the Northern Territory

  • increase investment in and output of advanced manufacturing activity in the Northern Territory

  • increase the number of advanced manufacturing jobs located in the Northern Territory

Eligible applicants must:

  • Have an ACN (Australian Company Number)

  • have an ABN (Australian Business Number)

  • be non-tax exempt

  • Be registered for the GST

  • Be incorporated in Australia, including start-ups and trading corporations, where the principal project activities occur in the NT

Although the program is targeting Australian SME’s with up to 199 employees, larger organisations are eligible to apply and may be accepted due to the impact on NT manufacturing ecosystem.

Projects must align with at least one of the NT manufacturing priorities, have a minimum of $50,000 in eligible expenditure with demonstrated 50% co-funding from the lead partiicpant and must clearly identify the level of job creation in the NT expected from the project.
