Government grants up to $500,000 for AI in the regions

The Catalysing the Artificial Intelligence Opportunity in our Regions is a competitive grants program offering businesses up to $500,000 in grant funding, on a 50:50 co-contribution basis to support the development, implementation, and demonstration of real-world applications of AI technologies in the regions.

The program opens for application on January 10, 2022 and is aimed at regional industries, businesses and communities projects which:

  • support development, implementation and demonstration of AI technologies addressing challenges in regional Australia

  • increase the awareness and understanding of AI applications, opportunities, benefits and risks in regional areas

  • develop new partnerships between regional industries, businesses and communities with the Australian technology sector

Eligible applicants must be an Australian incorporated trading entity which has an ABN.

Applications must be submitted by 5pm (AEDT) on 21 February 2022.
