Government Grants up to $10 million for regional and rural infrastructure projects

The Building Better Regions Fund Infrastructure Projects (round six) is offering Government Grants, on a co-contribution basis, from $20,000 and up to $10 million, to successful eligible applicants.

In exceptional circumstances, some eligible applicants may be able to seek an exemption from a cash contribution to the project.

The BBRF Infrastructure funding aims to:

  • create jobs

  • have a positive impact on economic activity including indigenous economic partcipation

  • enhance community facilities

  • enhance leadership capacity

  • encourage community cohesion and a sense of identity

Eligible applicants must have an ABN and will include:

  • incorporated Not-for-Profit organisations

  • an Australian local government agency or body

  • a non-distributing co-operative

Grant funding can be used to support:

  • the construction of new infrastructure

  • upgrading existing infrastructure

  • extending existing infrastructure

  • replacing infrastructure where there is a significant increase in benefit

  • other eligible activities may also be approved

Applications close at 5PM (AEDT) on 10th February 2022
