Government Grant up to $2 million for critical products manufacturing

Eligible businesses can apply for Government Grant funding from $50,000 and up to $2 million, on a 50:50 co-funding basis, for projects to establish or scale a manufacturing capability to address supply chain vulnerabilities for two critical product categories including:

  • Semiconductors

  • Water Treatment Chemicals

Eligible applicants must:

  • have an ABN

  • be non-income tax-exempt

  • be registered for the GST

  • be an entity incorporated in Australia and a trading corporation

Eligible activities may include::

  • acquisition of new technology and/or purchasing IP that will increase capability, create new market opportunities and reduce reliance on vulnerable supply chains

  • transform existing manufacturing facilities through modifications or refits

  • acquiring, replacing, upgrading, designing, installing and commissioning new plant, equipment and machinery

  • enhancing existing manufacturing techniques and processes, products and services including via technology adoption

  • engineering associated with improving or qualifying a product, process or service

  • other activities as listed in the Supply Chain Resilience Initiative Round 2 guidelines
