Governments Grants up to $1 million for regional or rural community programmes

The Building Better Regions Fund - Community Investments Stream will offer successful applicants grants of $5,000 and up to $1 million on a co-funded basis.

Grants can be used to support new or expanded local events, strategic regional plans, or leadership and capability strengthening activities that provide economic and social benefits to regional and remote areas.

The BBRF program aims to:

  • create jobs

  • have a positive impact on economic activity including indigenous economic particiation

  • enhance community facilities

  • enhance leadership capacity

  • encourage community cohesion and a sense of identity

Eligible applicants must have an ABN and will include:

  • incorporated not-for-profit organisations

  • Australian LGA’s or body’s

  • a non-distributing cooperative

Applications must be submitted by 5PM (AEDT) on 10 February 2022.
