Government Grant funding for regional development projects

The WA State Government is offering up to $250,000 in government grants, with a minimum of 50% cash co-contribution, to support investment in community driven projects to create long term economic growth and sustainability in the regions.

Each of the Regional Development Commissions has funding allocation and will manage the grant application and assessment process for their region. They can also provide advice to applicants during the application process.

Objectives of the RED program include:

  • Sustainable jobs

  • Expanding or diversifying industry

  • Developing skills or capabilities

  • Attracting new investment in the region

  • Increasing productivity

Applicant must also align their project with their regions themes or priorities, demonstrate local partnerships and collaborations, describe any local content outcomes, and demonstrate capacity to undertake and complete the project.
