Applications open for CRC funding grants
Cooperative Research Centres (CRC) grants provide up to 50% of eligible expenditure to support medium to long term, industry-led research collaborations involving industry, researchers and the community.
The CRC Program aims to:
Improve the competitiveness, productivity and sustainability of Australian industries, especially where Australia has a competitive strength, and the project is in line with Government priorities.
Foster high quality research to solve industry-identified problems through industry-led and outcome focused collaborative research partnerships between industry entities and research organisations; and
Encourage and facilitate SME participation in collaborative research.
CRC funding is available for periods up to tenders and there is no upper limit for grant funding.
Eligible applications must be from a group that has agreed to collaborate and:
Include at least one Australian industry organisation and one Australian research organisation in the collaboration
Show that you can at least match the grant funding
Establish the CRC as an incorporated company, limited by guarantee if the grant application is successful
Be a medium to long term industry-led collaborative research project aimed at solving industry identified dproblems
Include an industry-focussed education and training program
Implement strategies which build the R&D capacity within SME’s
Deploy research outputs and encourage take-up by industry
Eligible activities include:
New research
Proof of Concept activities
Pre-commercailsiation of research outcomes
Industry-focussed education and training
Conferences, workshops and communications
Collaboration with international organisation providing national benefits to Australia
Applications for CRC funding follow a two stage process, with applications for Stage 1 closing on 7 March 2023.
