Up to $4 million in grant funding for clean energy projects
The Western Australian Government is offering grant funding through the Clean Energy Future Fund from $250,000 and up to $4 million on a co-contribution basis to support the implementation of innovative clean energy projects in Western Australia.
Eligible applicants must be an Australian entity incorporated under the Corporations Act 2001 and for the current round Local Government organisations are eligible to apply. Co-contribution by the applicant must be at least 75% of eligible project costs.
Projects must offer high public value and contribute to at least one of the following outcomes:
significant, cost-effective reduction in greenhouse gas emissions below p projected (or baseline) emissions as a direct result of the clean energy project
design, deployment, testing of demonstrating of innovative clean energy projects likely o deliver community benefits or lead to broad adoption and significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions
Preference will be given to projects which meet Ministerial priorities which include:
Innovative clean energy projects in regional and remote Western Australia e.g. project that are at the fringe of, or are not connected to, the South West Interconnected System or the North West Interconnected System
Project that improve the security and resilience of networked electricity supply in line with the DER Roadmap
Projects that support decarbonisation of existing industry and the development of new, low emissions industries in Western Australia
‘Shovel ready’ clean energy projects that will reduce emissions and create jobs in Western Australia
projects that will enhance energy efficiency and m aerially reduce emissions from the built environment or manufacturing
Projects that support the replacement of diesel with renewable energy
Applications close at 11:59PM (AWST) on 22 April 2021, applications will not be accepted after this time.
