Grants up to $250,000 for WA regional projects

The State Government Regional Economic Development (RED) grants program supports community-driven projects that contribute to job creation and long term economic development opportunity.

Round four will focus on projects that increase or sustain jobs, expand or diversify industry, develop skills or capability, increase business productivity and attract new investment to the regions.

To be eligible, applicants must hold an Australian Business Number (ABN) and be legally capable of entering into a legally binding financial agreement with the WA state government.

Eligible applicants include businesses, community organisations and not-for-profit organisations, and local governments. State/Federal Government agencies, Government Trading Enterprises, schools and hospitals are ineligible to apply.

Applicants can apply for up to $250,000 on a 50% cash co-contribution basis, with not-for-profit organisations considered on a case-by-case basis. Applicants with a cash contribution exceeding the minimum requirement will receive a higher weighting in the assessment process.

Applications must be aligned with the relevant Regional Development Commission guidelines, and must be submitted by midnight of 21 October 2021. More information and a link to the application form can be found here.
