Grants from $200,000 and up to $1.5 million for youth early intervention projects (Copy)

The Department of Home Affairs Safer Communities Fund is offering eligible organisations the opportunity to apply for competitive grant funding up to $1.5 million and up to 100% of the project costs.

Eligible organisations must have an ABN, be an incorporated association or an incorporated not-for-profit organisations and have experience in providing early intervention activities to youth at high risk. Joint applications are acceptbale.

Eligible projects must involve youth engagement activities aimed at crime prevention with the program objectives to:

  • contribute to the preservation of the safety of Australians through funding local crime prevention activities that address anti-social behaviour by youth at high risk

  • help marginalised youth aged 12-24 at high risk to develop life skills, including through education and vocational skills to promote inclusion and build community resilience.

Applications close at 5pm (ACT local time) on 22 July 2021.
