Grant funding up to $600,000 for WA agribusinesses

The Enterprise Support Program (ESP) provides grant funding, on a co-contribution basis, to eligible agribusiness, enterprises, and entrepreneurs seeking to pursue business development and innovation opportunities through leading edge research capability, incubation space, and technologies available in the Western Australia Food Innovation Precinct (WAFIP).

Applicants maybe seeking opportunity to innovate, accelerate business devleopment, commercialise research and deliver projects that seek to:

  • Facilitate innovative agribusiness development

  • Support new product development, innovation and commercialisation

  • Scale up small-medium enterprises and enhance export capability

  • Create new opportunities for value-added and food processing and manufacturing

  • Develop WAFIP as the hub of agri-innovation in WA

Three streams of funding are available:

  1. Business / product commercialisation, collaborative research and development

  2. Common use equipment within the WAFIP

  3. user incentives to access WAFIC space, facilities and services

Eligible Applicants must:

  • Be an agricultural / food or fisheries business, incorporated body operating in the agriculture, food and/or fisheries sector, or an agricultural support industry

  • Demonstrate a minimum of 1:1 cash contribution to the project (not sourced from State or Local Government funding)

  • Hold an ABN and be registered for GST

  • Be operating in Western Australia for the next three years

  • Be financially solvent
