Grant funding up to $200,000 for feasiblity studies to support CAPEX projects

The West Australian Government are inviting eligible applicants to apply for Government Grant funding between $30,000 and $200,000 towards feasibility studies and other de-risking activities which support capital investment decisions related to food and beverage manufacturing or other forms of value add processing.

Funding can be used to engage the expertise required to support an investment decision, and may include:

  • Technical consultants

  • Professional services including accounting, tax, legal and other services

  • Property related services including architect, planners, designers and valuers

  • Product or market analysis and advisors

  • Specialist reports and data services

  • Other advisors / service providers relevant to an eligible project

  • Regulatory approval

  • Licences related to an eligible project

Eligible applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a private sector business, registered with ASIC or holding an ABN

  • Have a minimum sales turnover of at least $100,000

  • Be a going concern

  • Be planning a project located in, or looking to relocate operations to, Western Australia (foreign businesses may be eligible to apply)

  • Be capable of entering into a legally binding agreement with the Western Australian Government

  • Have financial capacity to meet the minimum 50% cash co-contribution

  • Have been operating for a minimum of two years (or similar established track record)

Project eligibility criteria are outlined in the program guidelines.

This is an ongoing program and will be accepting applications at any time until 30 June 2024.
