Export Market Development Grant

The Export Market Development Grant program provides up to $150,000 in matching funding to support Australian small and medium sized businesses to develop export markets.

The program will:

  • reimburse up to 50% of eligible export marketing and promotion expenses above $5,000 (provided total expenses are at least $15,000)

  • provides up to eight grants to each eligible applicant - these do not need to be consecutive years

  • first time EMDG applicants can combine 2 consecutive years expenses

Eligible applicants must have:

  • less than $50 million income in the grant year

  • incurred at least $15,000 in eligible expenditure

Funding may be used for:

  • promotion of the export of eligible goods or most services

  • promotion of inbound tourism

  • promotion of the export of Intellectual Property and know-how

  • promoted conferences and events held in Australia
