Collie Futures Industry Development Fund

The WA Government has committed $20 million over 5 years to support projects which drive economic diversity and create jobs in the Collie region.

The Collie Futures Industry Development Fund program offers up to $2 million in matching funding to support new projects which can demonstrate a significant and sustainable impact on the local economy through both increased productivity and creation of jobs. Funding is available on a competitive basis for activities to support commercialisation and implementation of identified, substantial business opportunities.

The fund will focus on specific sectors where the Collie region has strengths and growth prospects, and which are identified in existing regional plans and industry strategies, as well as the funding program guidelines.

Project proposals must:

• develop and commercialise new industries and business opportunities, including demonstration or pilot plants

• integrate new technology to improve productivity of existing businesses or enable the development of new business

• improve the infrastructure, plant or equipment that supports the development of new businesses or improves innovation and productivity of existing businesses

• develop common-use infrastructure that addresses local infrastructure challenges the impact industry productivity or expansion
