$2 million grant for Cannaponics Ltd

GrantSmart client Cannaponics Limited has been successful in their application for a $2 million grant to the Collie Futures Industry Development Fund.

In a media announcement, Minister Allanah McTiernan announced the grant funding will support the development of production facilities, including a greenhouse, laboratory and warehouse, at Cannaponics 65 hectare site located near the South West town of Collie.

The project will support local trades over the construction period, create an estimated 24 permanent jobs across a range of roles and deliver economic benefit and diversification opportunity in the region.

Cannaponics aim to develop one of Australia’s leading medicinal cannabis production facilities, including growing, processing and extraction of high grade, medicinal cannabis oil for the global pharmaceuticals market.
