WA Health and Medical Innovation Funding up to $3million

The Western Australian Innovation Seed Fund provides fundign to WA innovators to support the development and commercialisation of novel process, products and/or services that demonstrate positive impact on the health and wellbeing of the WA community.

Funding between $50,000 and $750,000 is available on a 50:50 co-contribution basis to successful eligible applicants.

The funding, available to early to intermediate stage start-ups, emerging spin-outs, or SME’s, is intended to support key de-risking activities that advance the innovation to a maturity level where the innovation is better positioned to attract investment from traditional funding sources to commence or progress commercialisation.

Eligible applicants must:

  • have an Australian Business Number (ABN)

  • have a physical and operational presence in WA

The Activity lead must:

  • be an Austrlaian or New Zealand citizen, a permanent resident of Australia, or have an appropriate work visa in place for Activity period

  • be based in WA for a minimum of 80 per cent of the Activity period

Minimum data forms must be submitted by 1:00pm (AWST) on Tuesday 28 November 2023 in order to be eligible.

Final applications must be submitted by 1:00pm (AWST) on Tuesday 12 December 2023.
