Workplace relations usability challenge feasibility funding
The Australian Government has allocated $2.5 million to support the development and uptake of innovative technology solutions to support engagement with modern awards to make it easy for SME’s to find, navigate, and utilise modern awards.
Funding is offered through a two stage process including:
Stage 1 - Feasibility: Grants up to $100,000, covering up to 100% of eligible project expenditure, are available to complete a feasibility study that address the challenge of “using technology to improve the user experience of SMEs engaging with modern awards”. $500,000 is available for the Feasibility grants over a period of 3 months.
Stage 2 - Proof of Concept: Applicants successfully completing the feasibility stage of the program will be invited to apply for a competitive grant to develop a PoC to address the same challenge. Grants of up to $1 million will be available on a competitive basis, over an 18 month period. A total of $2 million has been allocated for the PoC grant opportunity.
Eligibily entities will hold an Australian Business Number (ABN) and:
Be an entity incorpoated in Australia, or
Be an individual or partnership which agrees to form an Australian incorproated company to enter into a grant agreement
Will have a combined annual turnover of less than $20 million for each of teh three financial years prior to lodging the application
Will provide all mandatory attachments
Joint applications will be acceptable, provided the lead organisation is the main driver of the project and is eligible to apply.
