Up to $50,000 grant funding for WA SMEs to improve capability and capacity to supply major projects

The West Australian Local Capability Fund (LCF) provides funding to WA SME’s to enhance their capacity and capability to supply major State Government, public and private sector civil construction and infrastructure projects including those found in the Pipeline off Work which lists WA Government infrastructure projects throughout these State.

This program offers funding of up to $50,000 to support up to 75% of the eligible total project costs (excluding GST).

To be eligible for funding applicants must:

  • Be registered for GST

  • Have an ABN

  • Be a for-profit organisation or business

  • Have been operating for at least three years

  • Have its principal place of business in Western Australia and will continue to be based in WA for at least the 12 months following application submission

  • Employ less than 200 people

Eligible activities that may be funded can include:

  • Planing and business advice e.g. Tender submission advice and preparation; supply chain facilitation, strategic and business planning

  • Improvements to internal business infrastructure/systems e.g. production systems, IT/communication systems, transport/distribution system

  • Training and upscaling of employees

  • Acquiring new or second hand equipment/machinery

  • Modifying existing machinery

  • Upgrading air expanding the applicant owned operating premioses

  • Purchase of specialised motor vehicles e.g. bobcats, forklift, cherry pickers etc

  • Specialised computer hardware and software

This funding round closes on 21 September 2022.
