Up to $200,000 grants to support innovative startups and SMEs
The Commercialisation Bridge Grant (CBG) is designed to support innovative driven SME’s and startups in WA to become sustainable, scalable businesses.
One of the New Industries Fund programs, the CBG is offering grants of between $50,000 and $200,000 on a minimum 50:50 net cash co-contribution basis.
Eligible businesses will:
Be a registered WA business with a current ABN and ACN, and will continue to be based in WA for the next three years.
Have a minimum trading history of three years.
Have developed a scalable, innovative project in Western Australia.
Be a WA based startup or SME employing between one and 50 people.
Be solvent and have demonstrable financial capacity to contribute at least 50% of the total project costs.
Other eligibility criteria apply related to expenditure and project activity.
Eligible project will fall into one or more of the following categories:
Product Readiness:
Laboratory verification
Necessary certification
Software / technology development
Machining / tooling
Product testing / validation
Team Readiness:
Hiring experienced C-Suite personnel
Adding to the team, filling skills / experience gaps
Developing an advisory / Board
IP Readiness:
Protection of IP including patents / other protections in various jurisdictions
Legal / professional advice
Licensing
Commercialisation Readiness:
Innovation management and consulting services
Commercialisation, growth, marketing work
Preparing to enter new markets
Export Readiness
