The Clean Technology Innovation Program was opened today and will provide grants up to $5 million for research and development, proof of concept or early stage commercialisation activities for innovations aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

This is a competitive, merit-based program and grant funding will be provided on a matching basis with the Government funding up to 50% of the project costs.

R&D Tax Incentive Registrations Now Open PDF Print E-mail

Any business that spent at least $20,000 on eligible research and development in the last financial year can now register for the R&D Tax Incentive.

The easy-to-access Incentive is more generous and less complex than its predecessor offering up to a 45% tax offset on R&D spend.

More than $20 million in grant funding has been announced under the Energy Efficiency Information Grants (EEIG) program. Twenty-eight applications were successful out of more than 200 (14% success rate) with only one successful applicant from WA. Congratulations to Carol Hanlon and her team at the Textile Clothing & Footwear Resource Centre WA on receiving almost $600,000. Round 2 of the program will open for applications in Octiber. More information can be found in the Minister's announcement.
