WA Innovation Booster Grant - up to $40,000

The West Australian Government Innovation Booster Grant is open for application.

Administered by the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation, and part of the New Industries Fund, the Innovation Booster Grant is offering up to $40,000, on an 80:20 co-contribution basis to successful applicants.

The Innovation Booster Grant (IBG) aims to support WA-based startups and SME’s to progress the development and commercialisation of innovative ideas or projects.

The IBG program has undergone some significant changes and is now accepting applications on an ongoing basis, year round, with applications being assessed regularly throughout the year.

The program is designed to assist innovators to overcome some of the barriers and challenges they may encounter on the path to commercialisation, whilst supporting tnew and existing relationships between innovators, research providers, and specialist commercialisation support services.

Eligible Applicants will:

  • Be a business registered in WA and hold a current ABN and / or ACN.

  • Be developing an innovative project in WA, with a total budget less than $100,000.

  • Aim to continue being based in WA for the next three years.

  • Be a WA based startup or SME employing between one and 20 people.

  • Have financial capacity to contribute at least 20% of teh total project costs.

Other eligiblity criteria apply related to spending and activities.
