Up to $15 million grant for WA industry investment

The West Australian Government have opened the Investment Attraction Fund (IAF), inviting eligible applicants to submit an Expression of Interest to apply for up to $15 million, on a 50:50 matching funding basis.

The current funding round is targeting investment in the New Energies Industries sub sectors, including battery and critical minerals, renewable hydrogen, solar and wind, and Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage (CCUS).

The WA Government may consider application for funding that are not aligned to the New Energies Industries priority, provided the meet specific criteria as described in the program guidelines (here).

Eligiblity criteria include:

  • Be registered, or be eligible to register for an Australian Business Number.

  • Be a legal entity, or partnered with a legal entity, with a proven trading history for the past three financial years.

  • Be able to provide a business plan and evidence that supports management, technical and financial capability to undertake the proposed project.

Applicants must meet the funding stream specific criteria: Contribution to decarbonisation.
