Grants up to $20 million for international critical minerals partnerships

Grant funding between $2 million and $20 million is available to eligible organisations, on a competitive basis, which aim to grow end-to-end supply chains with Australian International partners in the critical minerals sector.

The funding will support early to mid-stage critical minerals projects that contribute to building end-to-end suppy chains with Australian international partners, and which support the implementation of the Australian Government Critical Minerals Strategy.

Funded project activities must occur between the post-exploration and final investment decision stage, and may include:

  • Pilot plants

  • Feasibility studies

  • Capacity expansions

  • Scoping work for infrastructure upgrades

  • Research and Development collaboration

Eligible applicants must:

  • Hold an Australian Business Number (ABN)

  • Have an Austrlaian Company Number (ACN)

  • Be non-income-tax-exempt

  • Be registered for GST

Applicants must also be one of the following entities:

  • An entity incorporated in Australia and a trading corporation, or

  • An incorporated trustee on behalf of a trust where your trading activities form a sufficiently significant proportion of the corporations overall activities or are a substantial activity of the corporation

Eligible projects must:

  • Be substantially located in Australia

  • Be producing or planning to produce critical mineral(s) as listed in Australia’s Critical Minerals List

  • Have an eligible international priority project partner
