Commercialisation Australia have announced some significant changes to the program which will benefit both current and future participants.

From today, companies will not have to repay the Early Stage Commercialisation grant. Plus, these grants will be available to more businesses, with the annual turnover limit for applicants rising from $20 million to $50 million.

Additionally, growing businesses that can benefit from the access to skilled managers or executives now have the option to apply for an Experienced Executive grant of up to $350,000 over two years - up from $200,000.

The eligible expenditure guidelines for Early Stage Commercialisation have been amended to provide broader support for the development of pilot manufacturing plants and innovative manufacturing facilities.

So far almost 180 innovators have benefited from grants of $71.7 million dollars so far, but WA has only seen less than 10% of this. Contrary to some people's beliefs there is a lot of innovation happening in WA and GrantSmart would love to see more Commercialisation Australia funding coming to WA.

More information on the program streams is available here. If you would like to discuss your project and determine if it is a fit for the program, Contact GrantSmart today!
